Dragon's Dogma Switch Black Screen on Startup

Capcom has just released today's Monster Hunter Rise computer demo, despite fans' discontent. It isn't because Monster Hunter Rise demo has poor graphical fidelity (i mean, it's a Switch port, what does it look like? ), but because players encounter black screens and crash them who cannot enjoy the demo.

That isn't yet clear what caused this problem. Capcom has also released an issue with the crash that is on the market. Despite the fact that several people have found some solutions that aren't helping anyone else's PC setup, and are yet worth the try if you do not have already found them.

Possible fixes for Monster Hunter Rise Democrash.

1. Shut the game in Windows 8.

Reddit user CoachSalmon suggested trying to play the game in Windows 8 compatibility mode, especially if you are running Windows 10 LTSC. Here we explain it.

Right-click the new Monster Hunter Demo in your Steam Library, and choose Manage > Browse local files.

Right-click MonsterHunterRiseDemo.exe and choose Properties.

Go to the tab Compatibility.

Find out how this program works and choose Windows 8 from the dropdown menu.

Click OK/apply button.

2. Turn Off Anti-Virus or Add Monster Hunter Rise Demo Folder and Files to the Exclusion List.

Many Steam users and the official Capcom Customer Service found that anti-virus software may hinder the game executed due to a false-positive error. To help avoid this, you can try to run the game by turning your anti-virus off. Or add all the games and folders to the whitelist/interpret/extextration list. If they were already added to the list, try removing them and re-adding them. You can try adding these three directories to your list:

• Default Location: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamAppscommonMonsterHunterRiseDemo.exe Default Location: C:Program Files (so)Program FilesMonsterHunterRiseDemo.exe.
• Default location: C:Program Files (x86)Steams.
• Steam AppData is in default: C:Users%USERNAME%AppDataLocalSteamSteam.

Each antivirus has its settings, but these seem to be proven methods for certain programmes.

BitDefender (from TREofWAR)

Go to Security > Advanced Threat Defense and gt; Settings and gt; Manage Exceptions.

You can only write one off the order.

Add MonsterHunterRiseDemo.exe. Save the settings.

Start the competition.

ESET Antivirus (derived from Fussy Eater) is a virus that can be detected by humans.

Go to the Setup/Advanced Setup menu.

Select the protection program.

Select the gear icon at the Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS).

Click the "Death Behavioral Inspection" button to edit the exclusion list.

Add the Monster Hunter Assassin's rise demo map and click OK.

3. Reinstall or roll-back your GPU driver.

Many games (and the Capcom Customer Service) suggest updating your GPU driver in case of an error involving launching a game. However, an acquaintance of mine, who was experiencing crashes when running the Monster Hunter Risedemo, claimed that he didn't get into the main menu by joking back his driver. You can download the drivers for AMD graphics cards and NVIDIA on each page of the official site. Other ways you can use the Display Driver Uninstaller program to help you restore your driver.
